My Last Post

My darling followers, I am afraid I have failed. Justice has caught up with me, and everything has come full circle.

My schemes got me far, but Edgar lived to discover my treacheries. He revealed my plans to Albany, and when confronted, I foolishly agreed to duel Albany's champion. Little did I know it was Edgar himself who wielded the sword. I was always a little sloppy on my fencing, and all this scheming and princess lovemaking prevented me from doing regular exercise. So it is no surprise when my brother who was out there braving the wilderness and probably fighting off bounty hunters and brigands, managed to gut me like a pig.

As I speak, blood flows from my stomach and Goneril's shrill cries pierce my ears. I deserve this. Karma finally caught up, and I paid the ultimate price. At least it was by my brother's hand and not some lowborn peasant like Cornwall's assailant.

Edgar and Albany will seize my laptop and continue further questioning soon. I fear I won't last to tell them what they need to know.

P.S. I could just leave a note here and hopefully they can read it!

Edgar & Albany,

I had a soldier take Cordelia and the King to a nearby dungeon and arranged for her execution. Make haste and save her! In my last hours I choose to try and cancel my final scheme...

FAREWELL!

Difficult Choices

It is in the darkest moments where sacrifice must be made that the strong strive. It is better to make the difficult decision than to make none at all. Only the weak hesitate, sitting on the fence. When presented with an opportunity one must snatch it in an instant. Today I was present when my garrison broke the line and defeated the French invaders. Scattered, and without formation, my soldiers made quick work of the men. It wasn't long before I had both the mad King Lear and the banished Princess Cordelia.

Whatever positions Cordelia and King Lear held in the past no longer matters. She is an foreign invader, and he an accomplice plagued with insanity. So long as I am your Earl, I will stand strong against any threats to my land. The land I worked so hard to achieve. Mercy, is for the senile, and sometimes one must take charge when those above him cannot do what is necessary.

I meet with Albany and the princesses in a couple of hours.
By then, those who have been a threat to the people will have been dealt with.

The Finest Qualities of an Earl

Thanks to the love and kindness of Cornwall (Rest in Peace) and Regan. I am now the new Earl of Gloucester. A title my treasonous father once owned. With such responsibilities and an overwhelming amount of power invested in me over the course of a few days, it is understandable that some of you may see me as unfit. This website was made to amend such doubts, as I, Edmund, will change Gloucester, and England, forever.

Before I was Earl of Gloucester, I was my father's own personal assistant! Indeed. I was there when he made the decisions, declarations, papers, etc etc. In simpler terms, I know the job he did, and I know how to do it better. My father was a good man, but rarely thought outside the box. His opinions were always confined within the limiting box of laws and traditions. I assure you that I will bring change, and for the better.

I will start by cracking down on thievery and brigandry within our region. Both Princesses of the country, Goneril and Regan, are smitten with me, and will provide for any luxuries I desire. I will then raise the taxes to bring more gold into our institution. The gold will be spent on more important things like roads and maintaining castles along our shores. Know that this is just a start, and the real changes will take effect after the imminent invasion is repelled.
